Cookies
This site does not use cookies. Not necessary ones, not analytics ones, not any.
There is no session storage and no fingerprinting. One value is kept in local storage, and it is the only thing this site puts on your device.
The one thing that is stored
The AI use step can be answered one question at a time or all at once, and there is a control to switch between them. Your choice is kept so the step opens the way you left it.
The stored value is the single word guided or all, under
the name aidc:view. That is the whole of it. It holds nothing about what
you told the checker, nothing about the answer you were given, and nothing that could
identify you or be joined up with anything else. It is never sent anywhere. Clearing
your browser data removes it, and the site works exactly the same without it.
Why there is no banner
Under the EU rules, consent is needed before storing anything on your device that isn’t strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for. A preference you set yourself, remembered only to give you back what you chose, falls inside that exception. It is the same category as remembering that you turned a setting off.
Interrupting you to ask permission to remember a preference you just expressed would be theatre. If anything is ever stored that does need consent, a real choice will appear before it is set, not a notice telling you it already has been.
What is not remembered
Everything else. The whole check happens in one page, in your browser, and your answers only have to survive until you get your result. Reload the page and they are gone.
No answer and no result is remembered between visits, so the site cannot recognise you when you come back. That is by design, not an oversight.
What about other companies’ cookies?
There are none, because the page loads nothing from anyone else: no fonts from a font service, no embedded video, no analytics, no share buttons. Every one of those is a common route for third-party cookies, and none of them are here.
Your results include links to official EU pages and to platform help pages. Follow one and you are on their site, under their cookie policy. Nothing is set by them while you are on this one.
Checking for yourself
You don’t have to take our word for it. Open your browser’s developer tools, look under Application or Storage, and you will find the cookie and storage lists for this site empty.
